Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the Taylor Oswald team and is responsible for executing HR initiatives that support business objectives and enhance the employee experience. This role serves as a trusted partner to leaders and employees, providing guidance across employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, talent development, onboarding, compliance, and HR systems.
The ideal candidate possesses strong business acumen, exceptional relationship-building skills, and hands-on experience with Workday HRIS, employee relations, and benefits administration. This individual will take a consultative approach to solving organizational challenges while helping drive a culture of engagement, accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Performance Management
· Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and HR best practices.
· Assist leaders in addressing performance concerns through coaching, documentation, corrective action, and performance improvement plans.
· Counsel managers on the development, presentation, and follow-through of corrective action plans.
· Coach managers and employees on the consistent application of company policies, procedures, and business practices.
Talent Management, Development, & Engagement
· Execute HR initiatives that support business objectives, with a focus on employee engagement, development and training, talent acquisition, retention, and performance management.
· Design, implement, administer, and maintain annual performance management processes.
· Partner with Taylor Oswald business leaders to support onboarding, leadership development, succession planning, and talent strategies.
· Assist management teams in identifying employee development opportunities and facilitating activities that build organizational capability and career growth.
· Support employee engagement initiatives and help foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
· Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts that strengthen organizational culture and business performance.
Benefit Administration & Employee Support
· Serve as a resource to employees regarding company benefits programs, including health, welfare, retirement, and wellness offerings.
· Assist employees with understanding benefit options, answer routine questions, and direct employees to appropriate resources when needed.
· Support open enrollment activities, employee benefit communications, and vendor coordination.
· Maintain a general understanding of benefits administration, payroll processes, and other core HR functions.
HRIS, Data Analytics, & Reporting
· Maintain accurate employee records and organizational data within Workday.
· Support HR transactions including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, and terminations.
· Ensure data integrity through system audits, reporting validation, and process improvement initiatives.
· Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, provide insights, and develop actionable recommendations.
· Prepare and present workforce data and HR insights to leadership teams in a compelling manner that supports business decision-making.
Compliance & HR Operations
Use for roles involved in scaling, transformation, or complex initiatives.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
· Support policy development, communication, and implementation efforts.
· Assist with HR audits, reporting requirements, record retention, and compliance initiatives.
· Support day-to-day HR operations while maintaining a high standard of confidentiality, professionalism, and employee service.
Qualifications
Required
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
· 3-5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
· Experience managing employee relations issues and performance management processes.
· Experience administering employee benefits programs.
· Experience with Workday HRIS.
· Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
· Experience analyzing workforce data and presenting recommendations to management.
· Excellent communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.
· Demonstrates a commitment to creating an exceptional employee experience.
· Builds strong relationships through trust, accountability, and collaboration.
· Embraces continuous improvement and seeks innovative solutions to organizational challenges.

Preferred
· Experience supporting professional services organizations.
· Experience facilitating training programs and employee development initiatives.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $72,000 to $79,000 annually. Individual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
